Creative Ministries Festival 2.0

Creative Ministries Festival 2018!!!

March 9-10, 2018

Highland Baptist Church, Shelbyville

Check out our NEW FB page:
RESPONSE NEEDED: Did you attend our 2017 Creative Ministries Festival in Bowling Green? Then we want to hear from you! Click here to send an email to Peggy Murphy telling her how you have used creative ministries in missions, in a gospel outreach, or in some other way in your community.
What is Creative Ministries?

Creative Ministries is simply incorporating creative ways to share the gospel. Making the gospel visual really helps to draw the lost and gives us the opportunity to witness to them. There are many forms of creative ministry and we hope to share several to those with you and your students.

This is the theme for the 2018 festival. We want to take Creative Ministries past the four walls of the church, into the communities, across the states, and beyond to share with the lost. The Creative Ministries Festival will not only teach your students some form of creative ministry but will equip youth leaders and students to share the gospel in a creative way.

Main Scripture:

“To the weak, I became weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the Gospel, that I may share in its blessings. “   1 Corinthians 9:22-23

When and where will the Festival be in 2018?

The Creative Ministries Festival will be March 9-10, 2018, at Highland Baptist Church in Shelbyville, KY. We will begin at 5:45 PM EST on Friday evening and end the festival at 4:00 EST on Saturday.

We will continue offering classes in various aspects of creative ministries and missions with the goal of helping students use these skills to share the gospel locally and beyond. A Missions Fair component has been added to allow churches that want to take their students on a mission trip and use their creative ministry skills to meet people from various ministries that are seeking youth creative ministry teams to help them. We will also hear from some of the Ministry Centers during the main sessions times.

The Block Party Is Back!

Once again in 2018 there will be the opportunity to go and work at a local Block Party very close to Highland BC. Church Groups can choose to go and perform, either on stage or in the crowd, at a Block Party during one of the conference times.  This will be an opportunity for groups that already have a creative ministries group in place in their church to put feet to their faith with their talents. As they perform there will be qualified, seasoned instructors there who will be watching and can give them some feedback at the end of the festival on how to improve their skills. Those working in the crowd can do balloon sculpting, bubbles, face painting, clowns, juggling, sidewalk chalk, and more. Some students can even plug into assisting with the games and food.

Or your group can just go and observe the event to get some new creative ideas on how to minister in their community.

Who should attend?

We offer this classes to students 6th- 12th  grade, college age young adults, and adults.

You may think of Creative Ministries only benefiting the younger generation. But Adults can learn a lot of great ways to enhance the worship service at their church, help bring life to VBS, and get out into the community using Creative Ministries to get the attention of the crowd so they can share the gospel. Worship leaders are encouraged to attend!

 Should I bring children?

The Creative Ministries Festival is not geared for children. All children 5th grade and below must be with an adult at all times. This really helps to keep children from getting hurt or roaming around the church unsupervised. Your child’s safety is a top priority.
